Was your pituitary operated on because Cushings Disease was suspected?
If so.. Did they image the Pituitary and see tumors on it?
I can't imagine going in there for surgery (usually it's up thru the nasal cavity) unless the surgeon is sure there are tumors.
I went thru early menopause in my late 30's, and in retrospect Lyme is suspected.
Where were you tested for Lyme (what Lab) and what was the test and the Band results?
Was therapy sucessfull - and are your periods back? (It was years later that Lyme was Dx in me so I never got them back).

That was one of my Lyme symptoms, although I didn't know I had Lyme at the time. My period stopped at age 31, 4 years after I was bit.
Testing revealed a prolactin level over 200. Tic, that's what is a high number. Did you make a typo here, re your 14 level? 14 is a normal level.
Estrogen and progesterone levels were normal and always have been. So the understanding is that the high prolactin suppresses the period.
I had exploratory pituitary surgery at age 33 for what they thought was a tumor showing up in the MRI. And with a top brain surgeon on this, he found no tumor, and declared me a medical mystery.
I couldn't handle the bromocriptine med that's supposed to bring the prolactin level down. So it has just remained high and I have no period. And do I miss it? No! lol.
When I found out last year that all this was Lyme, I contacted this surgeon, and he said he had never thought about Lyme disease.
One other moral of this story: sometimes we can get a false positive on an important test.

Cushings disease was never discussed. I looked at the symptom list -- don't think I have very many.
Yes, an MRI showed a tumor. That's why they did the operation. Turned out to be hyperplasia, no tumor.
Done by going through the nasal cavity. The pituitary is right behind the nose.
Re your menopause in your early 30s -- do you have any elevated prolactin? Are your estrogen/progesterone levels altered at all?
Lyme tested at IGeneX. Positive bands: IgG -- 18, 39, 41, 58. IgM -- 23-25. This is a definite positive Lyme diagnosis. Even if the CDC doesn't think so...
My period really never returned. Except for one really odd experience, which I actually wrote about tonite in the post by Klutzo, Anyone Tried Acupuncture.
Which go see. I posted about the impact of one cranial(without the sacral) session. It's a rather strange story.
