We learned that TX Fever is Babesia when we first moved here. The doctors here do not know how to treat Lyme, let alone Babesia!!

Wow. My father-in-law has a ranch about 30 miles from the King Ranch and hubby's cousin does cattle roundups by helicopter. He was probably a part of this hunt, since I know he often works for the King Ranch.
I found a story online once about the Texas Fever. I do believe it was babesia or something similar. I'm talking about what they said in the article concerning the near kill-out of herds in the early 20th century.
Interesting.
