(Important update from Sheila Statlender below. Please see http://www.lymesite.com/Dr_Jones_hearing_dates_directions.htm for more information on hearing location. - ldfighter)

Dear All,

We've just learned that the estranged husband and father of the two children involved in the current medical board charges against Dr. Jones, Jeffrey Sparks, will be flying in from Nevada to testify this week.

He had not testified previously because the CT medical board claimed it did not have funds to pay for his transportation. The state attorney's motion to allow him to testify by telephone was denied by the board.

This is the man who filed the original charges against Dr. Jones in Nevada, which were dismissed in that state by a judge who viewed them to be without merit.

It is believed by many that Mr. Sparks' current action against Dr. Jones was driven by his involvement in a contentious divorce and custody battle with his estranged wife, and included an effort to discredit her stability (aka Munchausen's Syndrome by Proxy) by challenging the medical treatment that she had been pursuing for her children.

His testimony is expected to challenge her credibility. Many of us who had attended previously were very moved by the testimony of Mr. Sparks' ex-wife.

ON BEHALF OF DR. JONES, WE CORDIALLY ENCOURAGE YOU ALL TO ATTEND THE UPCOMING HEARING. By turning out in large numbers, we put Mr. Sparks on notice that he will be held accountable for his accusations, by people who support Dr. Jones and have confidence in his expertise.

We also will convey to the CT medical board that the public is watching, and ready to hold them accountable for the decisions that they make.

SESSION on Thursday, April 19th, at 9:00. It will take place at 410 Capitol Avenue - Hartford, CT, in conference room A/B, adjacent to the cafeteria.

RIDE BOARD: Please contact me if you are in need of a ride and live in MA or a surrounding state. I will try to put you in touch with others who are hoping to attend. At this point:

1. We are looking for a ride for someone about 15 minutes east of Providence, RI.

2. We may have a couple of spaces to offer folks who live in Boston or along the Mass Pike/I-86/84 route to Hartford.

Many, many thanks for your attention to this important matter!

Warmly,
Sheila

p.s. A reminder that Dr. Jones also needs money to continue his struggle on behalf of the children with Lyme, and on behalf of the rights of Lyme doctors to treat. Our latest information is that the funds in the account currently only will cover the cost of one more hearing session. Contributions can be made through the following website:

I hope everyone within 1,000 miles shows up to see this "father" who is trying to skip out of paying for his kids medical treatment... and in the meantime is taking down someone as wonderful as our Dr. Jones... and jeopardizing the health of millions of kids in the future.

This session of the hearing is taking place ***this**** Thursday!!!!

Please either be there yourself, help someone else attend who needs help with travel expenses, and/or post here to remind others how important it is to support Dr. Jones in this struggle!

I understand that a number of rides are being offered. Great!

BREAKING NEWS AGAIN! DR. JONES ALSO TO TESTIFY ON APRIL 19
Dear All,

In addition to testimony from Jeffrey Sparks, ex-husband and father of the children involved in the charges against Dr. Jones, we would like you to know that Dr. Jones also is scheduled to testify. He will serve as his own "expert witness" regarding mycoplasma fermentans as a serious tick-borne disease. The charges against Dr. Jones include a challenge to his medical/antibiotic treatment of m. fermentans, and presumably doubt on the part of the CT DPH that this agent poses a significant health risk.

We hope that those of you who are able to travel will be there to support Dr. Jones. This also will be provide an opportunity to learn from him regarding the nature and significance of this tick-borne pathogen. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate and we won't be facing a blizzard in April to complicate travel!

For those of you who can't attend in person, your good thoughts and prayers also are greatly appreciated!

For those of you who need it, time, location and directions are as follows:

Click here: Dr. Jones' Hearing Dates & Directions

SESSION on Thursday, April 19th, at 9:00. It will take place at 410 Capitol Avenue - Hartford, CT, in conference room A/B, adjacent to the cafeteria.

Thanks once again for your attention to this information.

Warmly,
Sheila

Here's hoping that someone will be able to honor Lymetoo's request and go in her place to the hearing on Thursday (day after tomorrow!)

Lymetoo has worked so hard for patients for so many years. Can you help her (and Dr. Jones and all of us) now in this very meaningful way?)
