YES!!! I got progressive weakness leading with the left side of my body- my left leg, left arm became weaker quicker- noticed it there first- whole left side-!!!!

All better now- BUT the weakness took the most time to get BETTER after I stopped weakening- it took SO LONG to gain back strength and I have found to this day that I do not maintain strength for as long without working at it-

but AFTER I got better and did physical therapy
as dictated by LLMD- use your left hand for everything! My left hand after the arthritis and swelling went away wAZs almosyt USELESS- I could not grasp well with it because it was still so weak- could not hold with it because it was too weak- I began weeding in the garden and it would take me TEN tries to get a tiny bunchlet of grass up- and was like that for MONTHS- my hand would just NOT have the strength-
over and over and over-

and my legs- whole 'nother story- rollerskating!
I could NOT walk fast but the rolelrskating helped strengthen my calves which had no muscle, I fell a lot but over time it worked-

but it took a full year before I had normal strength again after being so weak- it took me MONTHS of recovery to be able to walk steadily up OUR DRIVEWAY (about 20 yards) w/o restinG!!!

the weakness was incapacitating-

and so long to recover from-

but THEN I was running uup 8 flights of stairs 3-4 times a week a few times in a row!! i got to be completely lean & muscled all over!!

(then I got pregannt and have an extra 5 pounds and am NOT lean and muscled but am still strong*)!!

ANYWAYZ- YES YES YES!!!

My left side-
weakness- VERY much ahead of the right side-
Best wishes,
Sarah

My chiropractic neurologist was able to level out the playing field... as the brain needs to be running equally on both 1/2's.

Mostly left sided symptoms - pain in left ear area, left eye tends to shut completely (can open if I close right eye), face drooping eye to side of mouth (not able to make my face look the same on both sides), tremors down the entire left side, left leg sort of drags along and buckles at times --AT the same time, my speech is almost nonexistent, cognitively lost ----- ACUPUNCTURIST, WITH CHINESE HERBS ON TOP OF MY TETRACYCLINE IS MY ANSWER. Acupuncture treatment is able to restore me with approx. three hours tops. It's been a bright spot for the last six weeks. This considering I am approaching the end of my third year with clinical diagnosis of babesia.

Keep at it. this is the third time in two weeks that I've walked to town to the library and I haven't been wiped out when I get home. This is like July 4th fireworks!

Best,
Ann in PA
