I have had a nasty case of Lyme for a very long time, over 30 years. Was treated alot during the past ten yearswith i.v. drugs.
I just stopped iv Zith in Dec. after 6 weeks usage and before that, was on Doxy iv for 6 months, which did nothing for me.
Three months after I start to feel better, I get slammed with Babs that was there all along.
In the past few weeks, I have been having more and more Lyme symptoms again. Yesterday morning, woke with a severe case of neuralgia that is givng me facial tics and the doc says a case of Bell's.
Since we didn't test out yet for Lyme for the inusrance company to approve my PICC, he wants to put me on 500 mg. topical Zith made by a compounding pharmacy. I have never gone this route before. But orals upset my stomach and I have many stomach issues. My weight is so low now anyway, it would not be prudent to put abx by mouth in my body and get sick again.
I also am on Diflucan, low dose 100 mg a day for a case of systemic yeast that has lasted since November. I take 300 mg/day of Artemisinin, and Ativan 2mg 4x/day for seizures, anxiety and muscle pain.
I would really like to know if anyone has any experience with this topical solution.
It seems the insurance company pulls me off and then three months later, I get hit with more symptoms. I am getting scared as I had 4 good years and the past 2 have not let up.
Thanks you so much for any information, experiences you can give me.
