I'm asking because he's a practitioner that follows the recommendations of Dr. SD who practices in the Boston area. My impression is that he's more medically oriented and that I may not receive the "alternative" approach as well. I also have an appointment with an LLMD (in friggin November) that practices intergrated medicine. In the mean time, I'm posting here like crazy and reading Buhner's book to get smart about the supportive treatments available in conjunction with ABX treatment.
Any thoughts?

I don't know anything about the specific doc but in my experience...
The LLMDs I've seen that are traditional medicine, only, oriented seem to listen and say yes to me taking herbs and supps.
I just ran them by them and unless they thought them dangerous let me fly with it. They just wouldn;t prescribe them as they were out of their area of expertise.
And hang in there; November is coming! I hope it hurries up. Have you asked to be added to a cancelation list, as well? You might get in earlier if someone else cancels. I'm sitting on a waiting list, myself, no idea when I'll be able to get an appointment.

Yeah, I call about once per week to see if they have cancellations. The guy's really popular and the staff doesn't keep wait lists because no one ever cancels.

I go to an LLMD who prescribes both conventional longterm antibiotics and homeopathic support supplements.
When the antibiotics have done as much as they can then it is my hope I will be able to continue on homeopathic meds to sustain recovery.

I've been seeing a LL doc for 4 years. He's very open to whatever I bring. He states no one knows what will cure Lyme - so he isn't against me trying Naturalpathic ways. I feel antibiotics have certainly helped me. But they only brought me so far. I'm now seeing a Naturalist doctor. I'm taking Paw-Paw, food Enzymes, Protease, magnesium, fiber and doing bioresonance treatments. The next two days after the bioresonance treatment I herxed. Then I felt great! My energy was higher than it's ever been. I worked 10 hours Monday, went out to dinner with my daughter, and then drove around for her to practice for her drivers test. (Normally after work, I come home a lay down!) I've just had my second treatment (2 weeks later) and I'm herxing, but I'm looking forward to the rest of the week! After my initial treatment my IBS symptoms have gone away. I think it's because of the fiber and digestive herbs I'm taking. I hope this continues to full wellness!
