Just got the latest alumni Columbia Magazine in the mail.

There is a great article entitled "Rash Judgement?" by David J. Craig and Amy Sara Clark.

Description of article is as follows:

"Scientists can't agree whether Lyme disease is an overhyped "wastbasket diagnosis" or the cause of a myriad neurological problems. Columbia researchers led by Brian Falllon are finding answers."

The problem is, I can't get an online connection for this article yet. The Columbia Magazine still has their Spring issue posted online. They haven't updated for this Summer 2007 issue yet.

I tried googling everything else I could think of. Anyone else savy with the web who could find and post this one?

It's good reading!

Sometimes subscribers have a code on their mags that allows them to get latest issue before the public (online). Or if someone can scan it......

Hmmm. My oldest is a Columbia alum as of 13 days ago. I'll ask him to watch for it when he returns from a well-deserved vacation.

Just put a call into the magazine office and left a message. Hope they'll just get Summer '07 issue up online soon!

Best,

Hi,

I also got the magazine. Their articles are public access; the problem is that they are moving from
columbia.edu/cu/alumni, as in
http://www.columbia.edu/cu/alumni/Magazine/Summer2007/contents.html
to alumni.columbia.edu and they have screwed up their links. I suspect that it will all be fixed soon. Right now, http://alumni.columbia.edu/Magazine/
gets redirected to a page that has the Spring issue up.

The article is good. It's basically a profile of Brian Fallon and the Lyme Disease Research Program of the New York State Psychiatric Institute. You can read about them at
http://www.columbia-lyme.org/flatp/history.html
