I don't know if I am getting old, or not getting better or what, but it seems that when I have a setback, I just don't come back all the way anymore.

Let me give you an example. If I have to go to an all day meeting, for instance, and sit in a chair where my feet don't touch the floor (I'm only 4'11"), butt, legs, back, neck used to ache for a day or two. I get up and walk frequently and do stretches too.
I try to avoid all meetings unless they are mandatory now. It's just now worth it.

We went to a wedding on Saturday and my feet were a good 6" off the floor. The chairs were padded, but that didn't seem to help the backs of my legs. I am still in such pain that I can't sit, lie on either side, or sleep. I had such a headache when we got home that I was nauseated. I hurt from the tips of my toes to the top of my head. I have done every stretch I can think of to get rid of the kinks.

I am looking forward to going to my Ai Chi class this afternoon (days later!) because I will be in a warm pool. What I should have done was gone to the pool directly on Sunday and had a Watsu (underwater massage). That would have straightened my out, I think. but I hurt too much to get in my car and drive there.

I have PT tomorrow, and chiro on Thursday. If that doesn't straighten me out, I may just crawl into a hole and die!

Does anyone else have trouble bouncing back?

Well, I am there with you gramma!

I am about to be 42 yrs old at the end of this month and

Just about everytime I do an activity (cut the grass, etc.)

It seems I am drained the next day.

I am going to believe it is Lyme and NOT old age.

Are you getting good rest?

That is a problem for me and really makes recovery much harder and longer.

Hang in there. You'll be bouncin' back faster soon.

Hugs,

Geneal

My grandparents have complained about this and they are healthy. As you get older you just cant bounce back from somthing hard on your body as well, just like I use to play a 2-3 hour football game non-stop then I could get up the next morning and do a 2 hour workout then go to the lake and ski all day... Now I can't do that anymore
