Good morning to all, got up this morning with extreme pain in lower left leg, in the calf muscle down.
Had same problem in right leg 4 weeks ago, stopped taking Cipro at that time, so pain that is in left leg cant be from that.
This type of pain and ache was in my shoulders at the time I found out I had Lyme, 5 months ago.
Will muscle aches and pains occur like this for a long time or end? Every time I am climbing the long hill of Lyme, something always throws a big snag.

Aching muscles were a feature of LD/Co for me for a very long time, but they did ease off. Epsom salts baths and saunas helped my muscle pain a lot (I got an inexpensive steam sauna from E-bay).
Some treatments exacerbated the aching. With the bartonella treatment my legs, in particular, were tremendously achey, although usually both at the same time.
I did have problems with charlie horses for a while -- not sure what caused it. I was having a lot of digestive problems at the time and wondered if I was deficient in minerals.
Cipro can affect you for 6 months or more after using it (it weakens tendons, and they can take a while to recover) -- so this might still be a Cipro thing.
LD/Co tends to be a long recovery. Hang in there, and don't let yourself get discouraged (more than briefly, anyway) by the snags.
Magnesium (I use Natural Calm) can sometimes help with muscle pain; the fibromyalgia people are also using Malic Acid to help with pain. Be sure to mention the pain to your doc.

Thanks for your post. I have a LLMD doc. appointment today and will let him know about my leg conditions.
In the past I have torn both my archilles tendons completly in half for no know reason, at my last appointment it was suggested that this could have been a result of Lyme.
I have had extreme leg cramps in the past, but they have lessoned with the addition of potassium supplement.
I will see if I can add a magnesium supp. to my aggenda and that might improve the problem. At times I feel like something is attacking all parts of my legs,Lyme
Thanks for your support.
