You know, I don't want to read up on it, be treated for it, or for that matter have it ... but I really don't have a choice in the matter.
I have it, and if I don't read up on it and treat it, I may as well resign myself to a life of pain and suffering.
You can't wait around for the doctors to make you well. You need to learn all you can ... be proactive in your healthcare ... see a Lyme literate physician (LLMD) and you will get better.
None of us want to be here.
And you are right, this is horrible suffering. What's even more horrible is that most people don't believe we're really sick.

Unfortunately, the bb bacteria like our brains too.
That is considered an organ.
Really though. Take the time. Read the information.
Find yourself a LLMD and get on the road to getting better.
It takes a while to assimilate all of the info.
Heck, I've been at it a year and just figured out part of my puzzle this past week.
Welcome to the board.

You should post on seeking doctors to see if your doctor is an LLMD. There is no sense in seeing another doctor who is not.

jburke, everyone I have seen who has Lyme stick with abx gets better- sometimes it takes time!!!
Just don't give up*)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yup, it sucks, it's horrible, but even really bad people get better if they hang in there-- this disease can CAUSE depression- you are not laone- many many people with Lyme are depressed not just because of the USUAL junk sick peopple have to deal with- but because Lyme does affect the brain- but we've had multiple people have brian lesions HEAL on abx in our local group- so don't worry- even a BRAIN SORE from Lyme can go away*)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HANG IN THERE JBURKE*)!!!!!!!!!!!!
