I have chronic Lyme, but not currently taking abx. About 2 months ago my hair starting to fall out! I went to the doctor, they are testing for thyroid etc. and also want a sonogram of the thyroid because to the touch it seems enlarged. I am freaking out about my hair and also possible thyroid problems. Anyone out there who knows anything about this? Thanks.

Yes, lyme disease can effect the entire endocrine system especially the pituitary gland.

When my lyme was really bad I had elevated prolactin and hypothyroidism.

The good news is that with treatment it does get better.
