Didn't really help me much but it's probably fairly harmless

(unless you have TMJ or some similar issue).

Don't you just love how some of these alternative remedies claim

they cure everything from AIDS & cancer to depression?

I'm a bit suspect of them now-a-days. Especially, over $50 for a

bottle of "super garlic", colloidal silver, etc. They may be good

products but I doubt they are cure-alls. More like modern day

snake oil... I'm in favor of alternative therapies but they really do

need some good double-blind testing to see if they actually

work (which is quite expensive). You don't really even know

then, since alot of doctors & medical institutions can be bought

off. It does give you some reference point, though.

I've done this...and interestingly, it did make my teeth whiter.

Which is good, because I'm a tea drinker.

The type of oil you use seems to be important. I use sunflower oil.

Doing a search on "Karack Oil" will bring up some threads. This is one and there are more.

I am doing this and it is working.

I have had a very hard time buying into oil pulling. It sounds and seems so silly. I would try it for a week or so and quit.

About 2 mths ago, I awoke with throbbing teeth and my gums were slightly swollen. I remembered the oil pulling and decided to do it. I do follow the pulling with a good warm salt water rinse and who knows, that may be the agent that is working.

I don't know but within 1 week my joint pain went away. The knots that constantly form in the muscles of my neck and shoulders and for which I have to have massage therapy to remove them, they went away too. I also began abx for H. Pylori and feel it has really helped my joint pain too.

At the same time I started oil pulling again, I was trying to rebound but for months could only rebound sitting down as it was too much for my knees and ankles.

With the oil pulling, I began to be able to stand and bounce. Nowadays, I bounce about 30 mins a day while watching TV. No pain.

I stopped oil pulling for a week and teeth began to throb again.

So, weird as it sounds, it does seem to be helping me. (Or it is the salt water soaks)

Just my personal experience.

I love it. It made my teeth white and solid looking. Before they were translusent, but now they look SO healthy and it was visable after only 5 times of doing it.

as for it doing anyhting else, i do not know.

I just read GiGi's link and the part about the tonsils.

Just this last visit to the LLMD, she commented that my tonsils were smaller. She had never told me before that they were enlarged.

Could it be the oil pulling?

is anyone still doing this?

Any more good results?

I'm going to start this and see what happens. My teeth are very transluscent and I'm hoping they get a little whiter

Any bad effects?

James,

If yo only go with data and promise ............ you are missing my tried and true alternative measures thta may help. Is any lyme treatment proven?

I say try it. Funny how folks will swallow a hanful of toxic ABX without question, but will not try much less harmful treatments.

I am not anti-ABX. I do believe if we need much more to get better.
