Just wondering how often you get blood drawn to make sure your organs are handling antibiotics okay...

Every other visit - ranges from 8-12 weeks between draws depending on when we can get to the LLMD's office. That's for oral abx (my husband) and herbal tinctures (my current tx).

Due to valcyte for CMV, weekly I am afraid.
However, when just treating Lyme or bart or babs, monthly was just fine with me.
The new nurse at the LLMD's office had to stick me once four times to get me!
Never again. One chance and that is it.
I go locally to get my blood drawn and they fax the results to the doctor.

Every other week for me, but I'm gonna see if I can get it done monthly. Guess my veins are hard to find, and I don't like dealing with people missing.

Twice in 8 years....my liver functions were better the second time.
I doubt the necessity of frequent testing unless you take ketek or flagyl or other toxic abx.
The stuff I take, doxy, bactrim, zith, amox, biaxin, art, is not hurting anything IMO.

At least every 2 months. Every month while on Ketek. My doctor does every 2 weeks when patients are on Mepron.
When I had pancreatitis, I had tests every month until the levels were normal for a few months.
