Anybody familiar with either the Cutler protocol or Metal Free as used to detox mercury?

I just found out I have a high mercury load, through a urine challenge test. One of my doctors does not think my body can handle traditional IV chelation.

I have an appointment with my LLMD on Friday to discuss it, and want to know pros and cons of different options.

Thanks,
A

Aniek,
I don't know any protocol name for what my LLMD has me on, but it's working.

On a 2 week schedule, I take DMSA for 3 days, and than take a trace mineral complex for the other 11 days. I skip my mineral supplements on the days I'm chelating.

In five months, I went from almost up to the extreme elevated level to just above the normal mark.

I've never felt any different on the days I'm chelating, and I have to make sure I get enough magnesium or my legs cramp.

Metal Free is a very good product. Cutler protocol has been helpful for some but I believe uses some of the same compounds as the IV protocols.

I also like:

HMD (heavymetaldetox.net) - lots of good data behind it
Longevity Plus Essential Daily Defense
Longevity Plus Heavy Detox
Zeolites such as Nutramedix Zeolites, Omica Health Zeolite, and ACZ Nano
PCA-Rx
NDF

Lots of good options out there.

The Cutler protocol uses oral DMSA but in small doses. So it is easier on the body than IV.
