I'm sorry I don't have an answer for you but I do use natural tears every night and it seems to relieve the mild itching I have.

Do you get swollen eyes, too? I've been talking to people with Bart and it seems that some of us get droopy lids/and or swollen/puffy eyes.

Have you had this, too? Anyone else?

Hi,
I use regular eye drops for the moisture.

Clarissa,
I have developed a droopy lid the past few months. And also wake up with awfully swollen/ puffy lids in both eyes.

Heaven help me if I cry,or something causes them to water, cause then they are swollen for days and nothing gets the swelling down!

I haven't been dx'd with bart, but strongly suspect it.

Take Care,

I was not aware of Cipro eye drops, but I have recently been using Zithromycin eye drops. They are brand new, so new I had to inform CVS about them. I have used them for about a month.

I have severe dry eyes, my eyes did not itch, they burned. I actually got a very large blister on my eyeball. When I finally realized how severe my dry eyes were and that putting drops in nearly every hour.........things felt much better.

I can't use anything with preservatives in them. I have read that is like putting soap in your eyes, will dry them out terribly.

I think I will go look up the Cipro eye drops. Thanks

DakotasMom:

We had a thread going on about droopy lid/swollen eyes pertaining to Bart. Randibear started the post and I think it was titled droopy right eyelid.

Definitely check it out. I think Bart is the swollen eye/eye droop/black eye culprit. It was just a couple weeks ago..

Some people had some alternative cures for these things such as accupuncture and peppermint essential topical oils.

Best Wishes,

Clarissa

CaliforniaLyme:

That's what my hunch has been...the insidious Bart. My eyes have been morphing since I've been treating the Bart.

Others have said the same thing, so I think we can safely say that this is a Bart symptom. Thankfully, everyone said it cleared after treatment.

It will be an added bonus to be healthy and NOT look like Rocky Balboa. Yippeee!
