I'm wondering if anyone else has been given botox injections for head and neck pain.
I did and swear I had an adverse reaction to it. My pain has increased dramatically. I can't walk and move my head at the same time. I feel like I'm either going to pass out or throw up.
i think I'm not asking enough questions when I go see the doctor. Maybe I do but I don't remember!!!

That doesn't sound good!

I have heard of people NOT reacting at all, but not increase in pain.

What does your doc say about it?

As we know already, botox is a biotoxin. Do you have the biotoxin gene that doesn't allow you to rid your body of biotoxins naturally?

Maybe it's building up rather than excreting like it would with someone who doesn't have the gene...

I have no clue if that would play a role...just a thought.

Nonetheless, I'm so very sorry for your pain.

My doctor did not respond to my calls or emails. I ended up going to the ER to get help.

My primary doctor wouldn't touch me because she wasn't aware of such a treatment.
So I had the ER doctor call them both a few times.

I feel like I need an advocate because the stress on top of the pain is devastating. Not sure who that should be.

I have heard on the news actually about a week ago that this can cause serious side affects if done by an inexperienced practitioner.

Check into the side effects, including neck/respiratory paralysis. They can be severe...
