I ask this question because my LLMD prescribes one week of oral flagyl for each month of IV (rocephin+azithromax). He said one week of flagyl was sufficient to be cyst buster, and I seem to bear flagyl very well...

How often do you guys take Flagyl? Thanks a lot!!

I've been on tindamax since September along with Rocephin every day. I take 1000mg a day. It's in the same family as flagyl and is considered my cyst buster.

Ideally I'll like to get some time in again with flagyl. I have a total of six weeks with flagyl but it began even before I started IV Rocephin.

Since starting Rocephin (JULY 07) I probably have three full weeks of flagyl. It's a killer for me, way too toxic.

Barb, thanks for your sharing. I may ask my LLMD to prescribe oral tindamax daily to go with IV. I'm not convinced that one week of flagyl for each month of IV is sufficient...

Hi Justag -

I have been taking 2 Flagyl 500mg a day
total 1000mg aday for 30 days --

If you have recently started treatment
one Flagyl aday may be enough --

Low dose could be so you dont herx to
much at beginning of your treatment--Jay--

i'd kill somebody to get my hands on some flagyl!!! seriously....

it's the only thing that seemed to help.......

I took one week of Tindamax per month starting two days before my herx, which was very predictable.

I was on all orals ...
