the fire department was here, our detector went off. its a good thing my husband insisted on calling 911, i thought it was a faulty detector, because it did not go off when we took it outside

they detected high levels in the furnace room, and told us to leave the house immediately and take the dog too [Eek!]

i hate to think what would have happened if I hadn't called them, my son was down there [Frown]

they are fine, but I am more short of breath than usual, yawning constantly, have a headache and very sleepy. does lyme make you more susceptible to CO??

they fixed the problem, it was a shifted exhaust duct on the hot water heater. my son and husband are out, i have been inside all day.

i went out to get some fresh air, but still feel awful. is this dangerous? does any one know if theres any treatment? or am I just beinng more sensitive to it?

Dear Roro,

Glad your family is okay.

You may need to go to a hyperbaric chamber at the nearest hospital

To remove those poisons from your system.

It's poison. Whether you have Lyme or not.

I would call the local ER and see what they say about CO2 exposure and

Treatment needed. So relieved that you all made it out.

Get that heater checked ASAP.

Hugs,

Geneal

A few years back I kept waking up with headaches and feeling lousy as did everybody in the house.

Then the furnace pilot lite kept going out so when we called the heater guy he said 'your heat exchanger is cracked...it's a wonder you don't all have headaches and feel lousy'

If you didn't get too big a dose of CO you'll be fine. If you did you may act like me....

[Eek!]
