I have heard conflicting information on this one? With neurolyme...I want the optimal dose but not toxic I was just bumped to 300mg doryx. One on morning and two at night. Is this enough? I am also on 250 mg zith and mepron twice a day for babs. By the way I like doryx so far.

Yes I was on doryx too. Apparantly it is much easier on the stomach than doxycline. From what Ive read 400 mg a day would be the optimal dose, unless you weigh under 110 pounds- than 300 mg.

Hi I am taking doryx and it is much better on my stomach. You should ask for it. I have a really poor stomach so it helps. I also tak eit with breakfast and with my night snack. I take my vitamins and probiotics during the day. This is working for me so far.

Needs to be at least 400mg to actually kill Lyme bugs.

I am on 400 mg of doxy at 120 pounds. Is this enough? I just worried that I am not being aggressive enough. Does doxy cross the blood brain barrier for nuro lyme?

yes 400 to 600. Thats what Dr. B says also. So If you can tolerate up to 600 and your Dr. will give you that much than def do it. It wouldnt hurt and it would def do more damage to the bugs and be more effective in crossing the BBB and getting rid of them.

I was on 400 mgs of doxy and would need to take it on a nearly empty stomach. The 3 times I took it on a full stomach, I threw up.
I would eat something small and take the doxy about 90 mins later and I never had a hard time with it.
