My best suggestion to you would be to call your pharmacist and see what he has to say. Pharmacists seem to be more up to speed with drug interactions than doctors.
Good luck!

I am on doryx (gentler version of doxy), starting b12 shots, and take ativan. The ativan helps with the herxs. I think you will be fine. I am not sure what the 5htp is?

I was on all of these (Doxy, B12 shots, Probiotics and 5HTP.) at the beginning of my treatment (12/07) along with many other supplements & prescriptions. I saw improvement with all but the sleep aids (5HTP). Still struggling to find the right combo for sleep...
I'm glad you've found your way to getting Lyme disease help.
You mentioned bad anxiety. It could be Lyme stress, but it could be bartonella, too. Or both. Anxiety is no fun.
I took 5HTP. For me, it was awful. That says to me that I didn't need it. However, I understand that for a smaller number of people, it really does help them.
I've taken B12 shots, not because I was low, but because high doses can heal some neurological damage and yes, in my opinion, it has helped.
However, I was getting methyl B12 shots at the same time I had a lot of neurological progress! It has to be compounded. It's more expensive than regular B12 shots.
I've tried (regular) cobalaman (spelling?) B12 shots, but I haven't noticed any help. However, if you're low, then yes! It will help!
Not every probiotic product is good or even potent. I test my probiotics. Here's my thread about that:

Sometime people get a upset stomach at first but thats usually the die off or the starving out of the bad bacteria in the intestinal tract. Takes a week or two to get through it. But if on abx's dont take within two hrs of abx because it kills the good bacteria your replenishing.
