I have been having stabbing pains in my chest for about 3 days. I have an appointment with my PCP (who consults with my out of town LLMD) tomorrow.

The pains are short (about 5 seconds) but can come as often as 15 times in one hour or as little as none. They are incredibly painful.

They are located in the middle, just behind the sternum. The stabbing feeling is more often felt toward the back. It is also felt in the front, however less often.

I am on Flagyl (750 total/day)
Amox. (4000/day)
Nystatin
Diflucan

Has anyone else had this? It's rather concerning.

strange how abx treatment can trigger brand new symptoms - some often very long lasting or permanent.

My wife started getting chest tightness the moment she started with doxy last year, and it's been her constant companion ever since. Although it seems to be less and less over time as she targets babesia.

Others have also reported that babesia treatment has cleared up chest tightness / compression / stabbing sensations.

Most ducks will tell you it's costochondritis. Great! - an idiotic name for the symptom but they don't have a clue what could cause it. It might be irritated/infected nerve endings in that general area.

I've nerver heard of that term. I'm off to go look it up.

The pain is incredible. Yes, it lasts for 5 seconds but it brings tears to my eyes...especially if I have 4 in a row!

Are the pains worse with a deep breath ?

If so it may be a rib or ribs that are "out."
They do not move much, but when that movement is lost it can be very painful at times.

You may want to find a chiropractor that knows how to and has experince adjusting ribs. Ask others in your life if they know any chiros who do adjust ribs - point here is to find one with good experience doing it.

Like mentioned in the craniosacral thread, hands on skills are different with individual practitioners so find a good one if interested.
Some chiro schools do not teach rib adjusting and some do. The one I went to did.

I've had this and here's how I treated it. It may be something different for you.

For me this was toxic spleen.

The lymph drains into the spleen, and the spleen empties into the bowels.

The spleen has to work very hard to clear out all the residue from the gunk we are killing.

I had a chiropractor do some manual spleen drainage.

I took a homeopathic and herbal product called Lymph Formula No. 2, prescribed professionally.

I tried to do rebounding, but couldn't because it hurt too much.

I continued with lymph drainage therapy with a massage therapist.

I also did psoas muscle release, because those muscles tighten up and cause pain under the lower ribs, in the middle back, and in the groin when groin lymph is congested.

This worked.

You can also try working it yourself with very gentle pressure, and intention of sending energy into the area through your hands.
