I have the same lymph node that keeps on enlarging again and its on the back of my head, at base of skull, on left side

to left of spine. Sometimes it gets as big as a golf ball and sometimes a lemon. Now its about teh size of a large marble.

It hurts. I also notice that I get drainage, fatigue, facial, jaw, eye, neck and shoulder pain and weakness with it with sporadic nerve pain running in left shoulder and arm.

I hate it when it does this.

It has been one of my worst symptoms from teh very start. It often follows with a sore about 5 inches above it which is in my hair line. I have often wondered if it isnt a reocurring bulls eye rash. hard to see in the hair line.

My original bulls eye was on my right thigh!!!

But I always have exagerated symptoms when it starts flaring up too.

Before dx I have had it looked at to no avial... mris, blood works, ent x3...you know the drill.

I have noticed that once again I feel like I am back sliding. I have been on 5 weeks of rulide + bactrim. Herxing has been bi weekly and yes I do seem to be at the bi week time but it seems different too this round.

Past two days I have felt "feverish" and I noticed that my temp has been up to 98-98.3 while it is typically in 97 range (this is up from 95-96 since beginning treatment though!! yeah!!)

Sometimes I wonder is my body really trying to start kicking in on its own some too fighing this????

So I am wondering - is this Bb or Bart symptom (the nodes)????

Symtpms a flare or herx (and how can you tell difference???)

If it is Bart I obviously need to keep tx the bart....I have been considering switching up to bicillin or rocephin IM....but maybe its too early.

Also - does anyone notice that the regimine they are seems to stop working after a while? I feel like ever 5 weeks into a new regimine I seem to really back track in symptoms that I seemed to get

a one up on!?!?

I know, lots of questions..... [confused]

Symptoms of LD and co's overlap so much it is hard to say.

What does your LLMD think? Have you been tested for co-infections?

I know from personal experience that Bart is over the top with neruo symptoms.

Here is a list of LD/co-infection symptoms:

Take care.

You should think about Babesia as a possibility also. You didn't mention any rash accompanying this outside of the sore at the base of the hairline.

I used to have a sore there also. Now I have multiple itchy spots around my hairline and on my scalp. That was in addition to a terrible rash that affected just about all of my body. I've had some success getting rid of the rash using artemesinin gel, ozonated olive oil, and Enula.

My scalp is more problematic to treat because I have so much hair.

Anyway, maybe you won't get the rash, but I would still consider Babesia, because In my case the rash didn't get bad until I was being treated for Babs for a couple of months.

Can you add a Fluoroquinolone - like cipro - with an 'myocin abx and bactrim? Man, it gets to those levels and I get scared with the combos!!! Seems like so darn many meds!!!!
