If his case is reported we should ALL hit the roof!
He diagnosed HIMSELF!
And that is ok for him but not our doctors? And he did his own tests?
HELLO!!!!!
One article says.. "Within hours of being bitten, Mr. Petersen knew based on what he felt that he got West Nile. Later blood work confirmed his suspicion."
Yeah.. I I knew I had Lyme after I got a tick bite.. a rash and flu symptoms... but would anyone listen to me?
They said.. "Petersen is director of the division of vector borne diseases at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which monitors mosquito activities along with other health agencies."
I don't guess he wanted to take the chance of going to a duck who would have told him it is ALL IN HIS HEAD!!!
He said... ``From my own experience, I can tell you it's not a very mild illness," Petersen was quoted by CNN as cautioning. "It will ruin your summer."
Then the article says...
"West Nile causes no symptoms in 80 percent of people who get the virus. The rest 20 percent experience often mild symptoms. Only in rare cases, would people develop serious complications from the infection."
He must be one of the "rare cases" like all of us who develop serious complications!
`````````````````````````````````
The other article says... "The symptoms range from mild to severe and typically develop between three and 14 days after a person is bitten."
But HE claims... "I discovered I had West Nile virus because I am a long-distance runner," he said. "About halfway through one of my runs, I felt terrible. Within a couple of hours, I was lying in bed with severe headaches, eye pain, muscle pain and fever, which lasted about a week. I basically couldn't get out of bed for a week."
And... "It wasn't just Petersen who became sick, but his daughter and the neighbor were complaining of West Nile virus symptoms hours after being swarmed by mosquitoes at the mailbox."
Now what is it? hours or days before developing symptoms? COME ON!
And does THIS remind you of anything?
"Researchers are working to develop a vaccine, but Petersen notes that it will be years before it is available to humans. The best way to stop the spread of West Nile virus is through prevention, he said."
Well, that worked for Lyme.. why not keep going in that same LAME direction for everything.. having ALL the research money SUCKED UP by the IDiots?
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...
Now after having that fit... I do want to say I don't like to hear of anyone being sick. And I hope he feels better soon.
I found out when I was dxed with Lyme that I also have had West Nile... I have the antibodies. Never knew it. I wonder... could I have gotten it from the same tick that gave me Lyme and Co?
We all know his name loud and clear, now: Petersen, director of the division of vector borne diseases at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Is he the one who responded when I sent Blumenthal's press release? The response came with no name, only the address:
Bacterial Diseases Branch Division of Vector-Borne Infectious Diseases Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Fort Collins, CO
