Has anyone had lidocaine or procaine IV or injections for pain? These are not corticosteroids and according to my LLMD should not make LD worse, it simply numbs certain area, in hope of breaking a pain cycle.

I had lidocaine many years ago before I knew I had LD for neck pain...I was sore for few days after, but it helped.

I just don't know with Lyme if it would also help.

Love to hear your experiences.

ive used it localized before and used marcaine as an injection combined with trameel.

both have helped me a lot.

I have not used the IV other than before surgery when the anesthesiilogist injected me to make the IV go in painfree.

I have been using the lidoderm patch for almost a year. It takes the edge off and I have to take less pain meds. Key is to put it on a pressure point. Mainly use it for my neck.
