POSITIVE Lyme.

So you all can chalk up another one for Misdiagnosis - Lupus and Fibromyalgia!!!!

Not to mention 8 years of health problems we can
attribute to Lyme - Spinal menigitis, migraines, a cystic Thyroid- tumor and lobectomy, TMJ etc.

Probably 12 years ago when I took her to the ER for inflamed rash around a bite site (I thought it was a poisonous spider bite), when the ER DR dx an infected hair folicle - if he had been Lyme Literate - she would have been treated Rx as a new bite - and never worry about it again.

But we all know about what happened next - no diagnosis - just pain and symptoms and never anyone asks "Is there any possibility she got bit by a tick?"

Auuuugh....so here we go, the both of us need treatment and no insurance to cover it. But at least now we know - and all the past illness makes sense.

Thanks to you all for your guidance, support and kindness.

Best of Health

Our PCP has rx'd 400mg. Doxy for 30 days for each of us. This was the best she could do. Insurance covered this part.

We will see a LLMD for the first time at the end of this week for further recommendations for testing and treatments.

I hope we can get the doctor to see us both - for the price of one. [Smile]

After a few weeks of being bit-- and being really sick I went to the ER with a rash *(In CT), and told them I thought I got bit by a poisonous spider bite.

They laughed and Dx me with shingles due to the pain.

Thanks to all the information provided here I realize we need to be tested for co-infections.

I think I have Bart and Babes, who knows whatever else. My daughter I think has Bart.

This based on the symptoms talked about here. I hope we can clean these buggers out completely!
