Confusing----------
And I have not got the babesia book.
So my doc put me on clindamycin + mepron.
Can I be sure this is OK?
It will not get the bugs resistant to mepron?
Or is it necessary to be on zithromax with mepron?

Sorry being so anxious.......

I believe you NEED either Zithromax or Biaxin with the Mepron, otherwise it is not very effective at all after a few days.

Most use Zithromax. I suppose if you can't get any Zihtromax, you could use Biaxin, but since most people use Zithromax, that is what I would do.

I would hate for you to waste your time going through Mepron for it to not work!!!!!

I am sure you could find some medical documents online and print them and bring them to a doctor.

If you are desperate, maybe order the medicine online? I don't know how safe or reliable that is though.

Good luck.

Also, they say you need to take 23 g of fat with each dose of Mepron.

Why not just use Malarone as you do not need any macrolide with that

If you are taking Mepron it must be taken with a Macrolide - Ketek/Zith or Biaxin
