Hi all. I started getting two itchy patches of skin after beginning minocycline treatment last September. The spot on my back has remained, and turned rough (almost elephant skin like, and slightly purple).

The spot on my stomach went away, but has now returned after lowering my mino. dose to every other day. I also started Flagyl 1 week/month around the same time. I am taking Septra every other day as well.

My LLMD originally said that it was my nerves being effected by the mino., but I don't know if that's true.

My question is-if you have intestinal candida overgrowth, can it cause a rash on your stomach? I have severe gas at times, and have been getting stomach pains more often. The endoscopy/colonoscopy last year showed no evidence of yeast infection.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

yes yeast can cause the rash, but so can bartonella. Bart rash is raised, rough and in streaks most of the time.
