It's been a while since I've posted on this site, not been a good few months.
I have bad yeast, thrush on the tongue and all. I'm doing the low carb and partial whole foods diet (it's quite expensive) and taking probiotics, garlic, oil of oregano, & an antifungal.
My question is, can I pass the yeast to my boyfriend? I don't know why this never occurred to me before now. Stupid on both of us for not thinking of it.

Absolutely. Or the other way around. And back and forth . . .on and on.
Both partners should be treated for systemic candida. It may not take much, just some changes in diet and probiotic may do the trick. Then, it just becomes a way of life.
Hey, I never knew about that until in my 40's. Doctors did not teach much about candida until recently - and still, even today, many doctors are in the dark, so to speak.

Yes, speak to your OB/Gyn, perhaps your partner should be treated for yeast at the same time.

Yes, certainly, it can be transmitted between people. Most people have it and if they have a working immune system, etc. it may not be a problem, but yes, it can be passed between people.

Thanks everyone. Boy do I feel awful. He's been so supportive, the last thing I'd want to do is have him get sick.
Question: I don't have a vaginal yeast infection, but can it be passed just by kissing?
(sorry for the sensiitve nature of this)

Kissing, yes. And other intimate contact. It may show only in your mouth right now, but it's usually systemic.
Sorry, but this really is not uncommon. Anyone who is taking antibiotics should buy double probiotics to share with their sweetie.
It wouldn't hurt, and could help much, if probiotics were included in everyone's diet.
Greek or Mediterranean Yogurt (without sugars) is a good idea, too. MIx with dill or other herbs for a veggie dip. Add berries for a treat (and a drop of stevia does the trick).
