My Lyme was caught later than it should have (thanks to my doctor who refused to test me even though I expressed concern that I had Lyme and we live in Connecticut). My current doctor is pretty knowledgeable about Lyme and attends all of the ILADS (?) meetings. Initially I think I was treated for 2-3 months, but symptoms kept coming back especially in the summers. All along my headaches have gotten very severe and frequent since the Lyme. Since being on this last course, they have improved along with the nerve pain in my head. My doctor thinks maybe I have just not stayed on the antibiotics for any long enough period of time and he says he treats for six weeks after patients are clear of symptoms. I tend to have stopped the antibiotics in the past once my symptoms improved because I hate taking medication.

My Lyme (or one of these bugs) seems to worsen in the summers, too. It seems to pick up speed in February, though this year it started early - perhaps because of the reversed polarity sunspots we had in January.
But you might want to take a look at my signature links and read Sarah Dacre's story, because I also notice that exposure to EMF/RF increases the severity of my attacks year-round...
