Started Flagyl yesterday morning and feel GREAT today! I was expecting to get hit hard. Is this the honeymoon before the meltdown??

Are there others that felt better on Flagyl? How come I'm not herxing? Perhaps it's a little early...

Ugh I'm starting my 3rd day and I don't feel much of anything yet. My neck is my main complaint and it hasn't let up. I'm not sure if my heart/chest hurts as bad. But other than that, I don't feel anything yet and that makes me worry.

I start Rocephin next week. I hope that brings out some kind of a reaction so that I know I am on the right track.

Hey Rachellemarie,

I always tell everyone here that I love Flagyl. It always makes me feel better, and is the most affective abx I've ever used.

Do be prepared though - you are likely to be in the honeymoon phase. One day is not long enough to typically produce a herx. After several days, when it really gets in your system, you'll likely experience an increase in symptoms and feel not so great.

Enjoy your great day!

Lauren

Don't be fooled, flagyl is known for coming out of no where to knock you down into the pit of herx hell.

Are you on generic of regular Flagyl? I couldn't get past the third day of 1/8 and 1/4 doses. Black depression. However, some people love it. It's either love it or hate it.

I've been on Flagyl since June....It has been a GOD-SEND for me. My skin has cleared up, my brain fog has gone away and I have lots of energy from it.

I did start a new ABX with it the other day and boy it has hit me hard.

But overall, I really like Flagyl...glad you feel good taking it.

How come I don't feel better on it? It makes me sad.

Or a Herx or something?

This is only my 3rd day. When can I expect improvement or a herx?

Mu pain complaints are my ribs and my NECK.

up

Should I expect a herx from Flagyl or more likely rocephin? Is it to early exactly anything as I am on my 3rd day of Flagyl?

How long can we realistically take it?

Everyone is different. Some meds never made me feel anything until I was on it for a few weeks. Others, like tetracycline hit me hard very quickly.

Try not to stress to much about having a herx. I use to do that and it really isn't worth the worry.

You might be lucky and do great on Flagyl. It is really to early to tell.

I loved it. It made me feel so energized.

Best wishes, kit

Thanks Kit, good advice. I too feel like I have more energy and just generally feel better and now I'm on Day 3. I know I might still get bad, but enjoying it while it lasts! I noticed I don't need to sleep as much and wake up in the morning with a clearer head and more energy (not drained).
