Hi - I live in Canada and my doctor recently and very reluctantly allowed a blood test for Lyme. My question is - after a fully embedded tick in my arm then a few weeks later a very 'vibrant' 'dart board/bulls eye' painless but expanding rash, could this be anything but Lyme? I show 30 of the 40 symptoms listed on the Candaian site. Thankyou.....

Hi Liz
Make sure to take pictures of the bullseye-
I know of No other bug bite that will cause the Bullseye --
The bullseye is as Sure as it gets that you have been infected with lyme and possible Co Infections -(different germs from same tick bite-- ticks can carry several germs)
It is Important that you know the Tests for these illness are VERY Poor and almost useless
The test that is most accurate is the Western Blot (WB) done at the lab Igenx - even this test is very poor -
Elisa test is useless -
Lyme is diagnosed (DX) by Symptom ONLY-- this is because the tests are so poor--
How long ago did you see the Bullseye ?? --Jay--

Hello there, the tick and bullseye were 23 years ago. In the last 4 years after some surgery the Lyme symptoms came with a vengeance. Up until about 2 months ago I knew nothing about Lyme and never thought about my tick or bulls eye. It seems everything was dorment for all those years.. either that or I am going mad. Thanks for your reply.. I am at the frightened and bewildered stage....
