My LLMD said my results are negative, but I'd like to check with you knowledgable people [bow] In any case, he'll do a test trial of antibiotics for me, but I'd still like to understand what this expensive test is telling me! [confused]

IGG:
**41 kDa IND
58 kDa +

IGM:
**31kDa IND
**41kDa IND

B duncani IGM is <1:20, and IGG is 1:40.

Human monocytic IGM is <1:20, and IGG is 1:40.

Thanks for any help you're able to provide. It is greatly appreciated!

Soleil, you can always restest after a course of antibiotics if you're in doubt. If you have lyme, the antibiotics may push your WB positive...just make sure you stop the antibiotics for a few weeks prior to retesting...

Another post just mentioned that band 58 is being considered more specific for lyme by some experts in Scotland.

31 is specific but may cross-react to viruses...

If you have lyme symptoms, it's too early to rule out this disease...

I do have symptoms, I've been sick for 7 or 8 years now and have been diagnosed with CFS/ fibromyalgia. But I know I respond to antibiotics and have many many Lyme symptoms, increasingly neurological. The doctor just didn't sound too convinced and I'd hate to pay for yet another blood test that turns out negative.

I was on doxy for almost 2 years for acne (I ended about 2 years ago) but it was only 100 mg a day. However, I was seeing a rheumatologist for the supposed CFS and he treated on the basis that chlamydia pneumoniae was the problem (yet my test results did not show this- which is why he's no longer my doc). He had me pulse flagyl (forget what dosage) for one week and then two weeks off. Within two days of starting the flagyl, in combination with the doxy, I felt like the worst flu in the world hit me. I think this is the herx reaction I'd get if the abx is working on Bb?
