Hi Guys.
Today is day 5 of a bad headcold. I dont see any improvements, infact I feel worse than ever. I havent had a cold in a very long time, but I would think it should be easing up by now.
My son got the same cold and was only very sick for a day.
I really feel like I have the flu!
My symptoms:
Severe Headache Itchy, watery eyes Congestion Severe body aches (more than usual) Severe fatigue (more than usual) Fever (slightly higher than my usual fever) no appetite sweats chills weakness slight productive cough
I dont think I have a sinus infection, or chest infection. I am on Zith and Rifampin
Is this kind of thing going around? Could it be the flu in august?
Thanks, Melissa

I have bronchitis, but no fever or aches. I'm getting some good help from olive leaf extract with echinacea.
I sure hope you are feeling better soon. You didn't need this!!!

Thanks Lymetoo!
I honestly barely go outside anymore, so the only way I could have been bitten again is if my dogs brought them in. When the dogs go outside they are in a fenced area in the middle of the yard and have Advantix on them. I suppose it is still possible though.
It would be my luck!
It must be crummy to have Bronchitis too. Did it start with a cold?? Hope you get better soon-

I THINK it's ragweed allergy, but I don't know. Could be a virus. Just woke up one day with congestion.
Since I don't really feel bad and I am worse when my allergy meds wear off, I'd say it's allergy related.
It's really better since early last week. Hoping to skip the abx!!
I hope you can find something to help you. You have really had a rough time. Did I already say that??

For a stubborn cold or bronchitis I have found in the past that pleurisy root in capsules works really well when even antibiotics will not dry up a sinus infection or bronchitis pleurisy will work.
Host Defense by New Chapter works well to prevent one from catching things in the first place.
Solaray use to make a product with pleurisy in it.

Hope you feel better soon. When I get headcolds like that, only lots of herbal tea with lemon, and tons of fluids help --
Lots of homemade chicken soup, with lots of onion and garlic in them. If you do not have the energy to make soup or cannot get someone else to make it for you, at least drink some chicken broth!!
Also there is this thing that AliG informed lymenet about a while ago, Umcka Cold Care, which truly seems to help shorten the duration of colds for me. Feel better soon!

When I had particulary bad herx's I also had the cold symptoms.Everytime!
I think its the bodies way of trying to rid you of toxins also sweat, urine etc.

I agree it could be ragweed or other allergy..It could also be difficulty detoxing.
Or have you checked about mold and mildew. Not sure where you live but we have had a lot of humidity lately.
A lady that has done a medical reading or sorts on my daughter, she is some sort of Mennonite medical intuitive, mentioned that Bee Propholis is good to take year round. I do not know how it works but think it must help the immune system.
I have not been sick for more than a day in a couple of years....but I also take ocillim, etc at the first sign or anything. Good luck. lmt

I am sorry you aren't feeling well.
Even though my dogs have Advantix on them, I occasionally still see ticks.
Unless they embed they can just "catch a ride".
Once embedded they usually die from the Advantix.
I sure hope that you feel better soon.
I usually just drink tons of fluids, up my vitamin C and rest as needed (yeah right! )
The vitamin C really helps me a lot.
Sending you positive thoughts and prayers for feeling better.
Hugs,
Geneal
