I'm really worried about this...

I usually get this at night if I get it but I had it really bad during the day today.

It usually starts in the back of my head. I have dull headaches there a lot lately.

It feels like a wave going through my brain with a tightening "pressure" sensation. It can travel around, even felt it a little across my forehead and cheeks.

Sometimes it feels so "tight" that I feel like I could pass out but before I do, that wave passes.

I also feel like I have to constantly pop my ears, like my whole head is really "full".

Does anyone else get this? Should I be freaking out a little, cause I am... [dizzy]

Could it be swelling?, a tumor?, what??

Yes, I have been getting that off and on since I first started noticing symptoms.

I started out with 2 really bad nose bleeds (which I had never had even a minor one before) and pressure headaches and major ear ringing and popping.

Sometimes it does come in waves like you describe.

I would get a sharp pain in my head near my ear and then it would pop and then ring really loud.

Even my sinus area would pop, like my ears. It is just like there is too much pressure in my head.

I don't know exactly what causes it, I was thinking it was just all part of the infection.

Maybe someone else will know more and it won't be too scary!

Pammy-
one thing I have learned is anything is possible

Yes, I have felt those sensations and more.
It is creepy to "feel" your brain moving inside your skull, but it is common with me.

Pressure and tightening has also been a problem.

Good news: headaches, etc... are getting better!
Going on 8 months of aggressive antibiotic treatment
[woohoo]

Make sure you let your LLMD know of all your symptoms and worries.

wishing you health

Yes, the very full head feeling is something a lot of us lymies have. Feels like our heads are so full of air that they may pop.

Very unpleasant feeling. Makes me feel lightheaded and blah, definitely. [Frown]

Do you think I can take Tylenol? I'm on 2 abx and Artemisinin.

I can ask my Dr. tomorrow but I sure could use some headache help tonight.

Thanks for your comments. It's so reassuring to know others have similar symptoms.

Those buggers sure get around! I have issues from my head to my toes...literally!!

Ice? I was hoping for heat! [Wink]

Where, on the back of my neck? Is it the muscles that are inflamed?

This was actually one of my first symptoms. I assume it

was from meningitis.

The nurse/Dr. told me to back off abx and said I could take Ibuprofen.

Does that mean it's due to swelling...would that be a form or meningitis?
