How do you know you're herxing or if the Lyme is getting worse?
My Dr. kept upping my amxy (I'm also on Artemesinin and Clarithro..) He would check my blood levels of amoxy and said I hadn't reached a therapeutic level yet.
But as he upped it my symptoms got so bad that I thought my head was going to explode and kept feeling like I was going to have a seizure or pass out.
He backed me down to my original dose of 1 gram/3x day.
My head symptoms are still there and my chest hurts.
How do I know the antiobiotics are working at the low levels I'm on, or are they too low and the disease is progressing?
Any ideas?

Do a search of Herx on the forum or out on the web, you'll get a ton of information.
For the most part, herxing is usually an increase of symptoms followed by feeling better. You can feel rotten by taking certain meds, so the key is really, do you ever feel better?
Some people will herx for weeks, some for days, some will not notice a herx because their body can take the killoff of the toxins.
But the key is, do you feel better afterwards.
