Hi. I took zith last fall and nearly fully resolved. When I went off, I relapsed so bad. Now, I'm several other oral abx and a course of iv later.
I'm now on a zith/ceftin combo. And the zith (which was added during iv) has really improved me. It seems to be the difference between being in bed and being a fully functioning person.
Why? What co's does zith treat?

I'm certainly no expert, but it is my understanding that zith attacks lyme, bart and babs. It probably goes after others too, but my family only has the above three so that is all I am familiar with.

It also treats Cpn, which some people think is involved in some lyme cases.

Bartonella, over 80% of lyme patients have bartonella and zithromax treats lyme and bart. But, it is not a great bart drug.
Levaquin, rifampin, doxy, and vanco are better

Try adding Plaquenil to the drug.
