Hi everyone,

I have been taking Rifampin for nearly a week and have been feeling extremely sore in my

inner & outer thigh area, buttock, lower back, even pubic area and hip - only on my LHS. Also had some joint

aching. Is this a normal? I have had some slightly elevated anxiety and chills, etc as per

my normal herx's - but not feeling too bad otherwise.

But gosh I am hurting and sore to touch in these areas.

Anyone experienced similar?? Just trying to differentiate a herx from a drug reaction.

Thanks

Kelly

PS: I did post a similar reply earlier a day or so ago but only got limited replies so seeking further experiences.

Yes but you need to take RIFAMPIN with AZITHROMAX also. Not alone as the bugs ( bart ) becomes resistant.

YES YES YES !!!It hurts everywhere .Pending on the load of bart .I hurted everywhere non stop for 15 months on BART treatment.I took it for 10 months with azithr and DOXY and added HH capsules and am also on 5th months of LEVAQUIN.NOTHING could touch the DEEP BONE pain.

I mean pain in the hips , spine , even heart .....ansiety was elevated-full neuro symtoms while killing bart in my brain ( brain exsploded-had bart before lyme for YEAAAARRSSS 30 at least that I know) .

Finally can stretch my back while could not lift my arms at all 2 years ago.

But be aware that you need to be on treatment for BART VERY LONG in rifampin as it does not eradicate bart.Add HH capsules ( do a search here ) and be in it for a long time ...and increase the pills up to a high dosage that you can handle.......

I reached 15 , but I reached also 1200mg of rifampin and tried 750 levaquin ( was too much for me) ..but still on HH and levaquin .Rifampin was showing that was not working for me anymore ( based on muscle testing). Will see if my body is done with levaquin.

LAst time I checked I was still showing that LEVAQUIN was acceptable from my body and HH capsules. So am using them all.Just do not give up treatment for bart as it take time to lower the load.

Be prepared to retreat it and slow down when you are really suffering.Make sure you keep your blood thin ( wobenzymes , serrapeptase and natokinnases)as you need to kill the biofilm that bart hides.

You might want to go back to retreat it when comes back but for now..plan to be on it for at least 9 months NON STOP.

Thanks Alv,

This is the first time I've experienced any feeling like this from my herx.

I guess that's the difference between a lyme herx and a bart herx.

I just wanted to make sure I wasn't having a drug reaction. I thought it would be a bit

strang to only be feeling it in one part of my body if so, but you can't help but worry!.

Currently only taking amoxil with the rifampin, but was already thinking about asking my doctor

when I go back this week to add zithro.

Thanks for the reassurance.

Kelly
