Can having a phlebotomy (large blood draw)create a herx?

I had my blood taken last Friday because my LLMD wants my iron level down. They took 500cc, and I felt a little weak, but ok. That night I started feeling off, with some hot, cold, shakes and feeling a bit flu like.

The next day I was still pretty tired, but I did a lot of walking around anyway at a car show (probably too long...couple hrs), and by that Saturday afternoon, I was wiped out and mentally off with high anxiety, migraines, and flu like body symptoms.

When I look back at my tracking of flares, it also turns out this past weekend was 28 days since my last bad lyme flare.

So...Im wondering...given the 28 day flare cycle, the increased abx Ive been taking, the loss of blood..and then the heavy walk around...did I just wear out to the point of herxing?

Or is it the brain encephalitis revolting from doing too much physical activity?

Has anyone else had a herx after a blood draw?

Thanks!

A large blood draw has given me a flare up of symptoms before.

In fact, my LLMD often splits major testing over several days to prevent flares like this.

Combined with everything else you've done, you must be really feeling it.

I hope you feel better soon.
