I have only been getting treated for lyme for about 5 months, but have already seen noticeable imrovements to being approx 80% better.

Started with doxy and amoxil, now doing rifampin and biaxin.

Still have some foot tingling hanging around, but my worst symptoms that hasn't got very much better is anxiety.

Is this generally the last thing to get better?? I hate it so much!!! [loco]

Thanks

Kelly

Ensure you are treating co-infections (bartonella & Babesia) Bartonella is the main co responsible for anxiety

Hi Kelly, I've been in treatment for four months now.

Seems my neurological symptoms are the only ones left. Grrrr.

I have a hunch the anxiety is part of the neuro symptoms...I had so much anxiety from Sept. 2007 through July 2008 that I would nearly faint is scared.

I've used GABA and it seems to help (but not tonight - darn it).

Have used GABA from healthfood store - took 6 before they worked.

I have a script for Gabapentin also. I try to use it at night only - as that's what is prescribed...I take can take up to 6 pills - they are 300 mg each.

Seems like a lot, but without them I shake inside & out, feel like crap all over, ears ring so loud it like a hornets nest inside my head. Sometimes my brain even jiggles or shakes.

Tonight I feel it all. But I ignore it so I can stay online to learn/share.

Anxiety is a mean part of Bb. There are calming natural products. Have you tried any of them?

Hi Kelly - In case you did not get a chance to read this info from a different post...

Here's some good information within this website below. It was shared by Keebler.

Anxiety can also be caused by adrenal stress...

Very common in Lyme.

Rats, I will be starting treatment soon and was hoping that anxiety will be the first to go. I worry a lot about physical symptoms and fear that I will freak out if I herx badly.

I do know that my anxiety books help too (Hope and Help For Your Nerves by Claire Weeks and The Anxiety and Phobia Workbook by Dr. Burns are favorites of mine).

Good luck to you, one thing that has helped me is Bachs Rescue Remedy.

Take care,
Ocean

I second that - Bach's Rescue Remedy (RR) is good stuff. I carry it around in my purse.

It can be purchased in several of the health food stores here in the Phonex valley now.

I've also tried one of the health food store Anxiety pill blends. Cannot say I noticed anything, but I did notice a better feeling about myself when using Bach's RR.

What is Bachs Rescue Remedy? Is it a tablet? I think I may have seen this before, but not taken much notice.

How long have people treated bart before they noticed a difference in their anxiety? Does it get worse before it gets better? Have been on rifampin for 6 weeks approx hard to judge which way its gone. Have some days where its going through the roof!!

This is another option for anxiety:
http://www.1-800homeopathy.com/enews/tranquility.php

I've used their Luties #304 from this company. It is a homeopathic blend and the pills are tiny - they melt under your tongue --> http://www.1-800homeopathy.com/products/details.html?productid=L304&search[type]=pname&search[query]=304
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rescue Remedy helps produce positive, calming, stabilizing effects in a wide range of stressful situations. Bach's flower essence combination Rescue Remedy is one of the most recommended products for trauma, shock or any of life's many adjustments. 20 ml size. Price $15.95 - Website: http://www.1-800homeopathy.com/topics/mental.html?page=3&sub=anxiety

I don't have Bart, and know little about it. Could you used the search key and see what comes up about Bart or Anxiety? I pray for you to feel soothed and soon.
