At times, when I feel really bad, I feel like I can't breathe in enough oxygen. I breathe just fine but just don't feel like I am getting enough oxygen, almost like I'm suffocating.

Is this what others mean by "air hunger"

But I'm wondering if "air hunger" can be a symptom of many diseases/illnesses and not just Lyme or Babesia. I was tested for Babesia and it was negative.

Any thoughts from others?

What babesia test did you have?

Air hunger is definately babesia.

I just posted this under the other thread.

Shortness of breath or air hunger can be caused by many things.

Babesia is one.

It is listed as a symptom of Lyme, bartonella, POTs, adrenal fatigue, etc.

Can be caused by heart related issues as well.

What I am saying is that you need to look at each possibility and

See if you have any other symptoms that can direct you to which infection it may be.

Say like air hunger and drenching night sweats for babesia.

Just think that it pays to look at all the possibilities,

Even though the probability of babesia is high.

Just my very humble opinion of course. [Smile]

Hugs,

Geneal

Air hunger can also be caused by mycoplasma infections. It was one of my earliest symptoms.
