hi Liz, Sorry your having this problem.
Sorry, I can't help you with bath info.
But I do have a few other suggestions.

Perhaps using "baby wipes" with Aloe, might help. Also get some A&D ointment, also for baby bottoms. Apply a little of that and you should feel a big difference. My kids never had rashes using this combo.

In the winter my fingers crack open and bleed, like paper cuts.I use the A&D ointment on them with a band aid over night and the cuts are healed, instantly.

Hope you feel better soon.

Hi Liz,

Same issues here. I used to tell everyone that "Tucks" was my friend. You can find Tucks in the Preperation H isle of most any drug store. It comes in a jar (or atleast did) and are medicated wipes. They look like giant stridex pads.

For sits bath I use baking soda in warm water. About 1 cup of baking soda to a few inches of water in the tub.

If you are itching and bleeding it's a good idea to keep the area as dry and clean as possible. You may be able to find a medicated lotion for that area. I have used Balmex in the past. Just remember to clean real well before applying any lotion or oil.

hope this helps even a little, proudmom

PS. Just thought of this, if its the yeasty beasties, my mom used a salve of plain yougart. Let it sit for about 10 min and rinse off. Do this at every toilet visit.

I would be careful with the Baby Wipes as we are so sensitive to everything. They tend to have a lot of chemicals in them. If I need to use a baby wipe I rinse it very well first.

I keep cotton squares (CVS brand) in my bathroom and moisten them when I need to and that is very soothing.
