My 7 yr. old granddaughter woke up this morning

with her eye swollen shut. We thought it was

allergies and she went to school. After school,

it looked red and puffy, so I looked at it

closely and found a small tick along her

eyelashes. My daughter took her to the urgent

care center and they prescribed Doxycycline

syrup (14 days). Is this ok for a child? I

don't think I've seen children on here taking

Doxy. Thanks for any thoughts..

Poor baby! I hope the infection gets under control and she has a good outcome!

I heard that doxy stains teeth under the age of eight.
