Thanks Tree. You are a great researcher, and this looks like a good book to have handy.
The text says that it appears that mepron does not cross the bbb "well", so I am hopeful that it does cross a little bit. Or at least gets to wherever the babesia like to be.

I'd like to know too. I'm taking Mepron with Bactrim, Amoxicillin, and Artemisinin; and Neem pills and cardamom extract. Do i have to add the Zithromax? The Zith is to prevent resistance, n'est-ce pas? But does the Zith affect the Babesia? Is the Zith just for the lyme?

You need to take the macrolide with Mepron...this treatment is based on studies that stop Babesia resistance, it prolongs the effects of atov. My LLMD used to be Dr B and he would never advocate Mepron without a macrolide..Zith is not particularly effective for Lyme either. Clarithromycin (another macrolide) is better for Lyme.
