Hello everyone,

I started taking fish oil, but I am concerned about the mercury content that may be in the supplements.

Does anybody have a brand that is 100% toxin free?

Thanks

Closest I could find is Carlson Norwegian Cod liver oil.

I take Carlson liquid fish oil. $21 for a large bottle on Vitacost that lasts 100 days if you take 1 tsp daily. Not too bad.

I use the brand Dr. B recommends that is toxin and metal free from Pharmanex.

It is called Marine Omega.

Yes, as others say, there are several good brands that have been screened to be guaranteed mercury and toxin free.

Be sure that what you get is independently tested.

The brand my ND recommends is Vital Nutrients - Ultra Pure Fish Oil. An 8-ounce bottle is not cheap but a better deal than capsules in the long run.

Here is that source's home site:

I use Krill Oil from Dr. Mercola's site. Small creatures do not accumulate Mercury like big critters.

I also think he is quite careful about what he sells.
