I can't take it any longer. The pain in my left arm from shoulder to hand is out of control. I am either going to find something for the pain or cut off my arm. It is driving me insane. Has anyone found anything at all! Bottles of Fish oil? Tylenol? Bee Venom? I tried capsaicin cream but it did little. Help anyone!
Thank you.

Epsom salt baths or Norco (a strong Vicodin) were the only things that worked for me for the pain.

No, it's prescription. It has the same ingredients as Vicodin but more hydrocodone and less tylenol.
Epsom salt baths helped a lot, too, and they are cheap .... just get epsom salts at the grocery or pharmacy. I used 2 cups salts and one cup baking soda.
You can also take Tylenol and Advil together. Take one, then a couple hours later take the other if needed. They are metabolized differently so can be used together. My LLMD said it was okay to take 3 Advil.
I tried to take as few painkillers as possible to give my detox organs a break since they were so overworked from the Lyme and meds anyway, but sometimes you need some help@

Thanks, I picked up some Epsom salts and Baking Soday and should hopefully soak in a bath tonight.
This is weird though, every time we fill the tub, it slowly drains to about 1/4 full - drives us crazy! I can't tell where it is draining or leaking...but I can hear it.

It might depend on what type of pain as to what will help.
Like i think my spine pain(and some of my other pain too) is inflamation. advil not only helps this pain but makes my joints move better.
I have alot of stomach problems so i really try not to take the advil.. but sometimes breathing just hurts so much so....
i started a thread asking about natural anti inflamatories and got alot of suggestions.
muscle pain, nerve pain, joint pain etc might respond differently or need different things.
I hope the baths work and enough water stays in your bathtub. We cant keep ours full either i guess its the drain i dunno.

So I will also look into Mag-Tabs sr and Mucinex(guaifenesin) as someone suggested.
Anyone try acupuncture? My doctor suggested this and I started and had two sessions. No real change yet but it costs money so I may not be able to keep it going.

Thanks, I hope acupuncture helps, it is espensive.
I don't know what type of pain I have. The soles of my feet hurt, especially standing a while and sometimes feel hot or cold, icy, achy! My left arm kills me! Hurts like hell. Feels like muscle pain and there is swelling.

Rich, Just a warning about guaifenesin. It can increase pain considerably for some people. There is a whole protocol around the use of guaifenesin for fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia is often a result of lyme disease.
Guaifenesin increases my pain considerably even though it helps other symptoms for me. For others, it helps with pain. I don't know if you have fibromyalgia but most people with fibromyalgia experience a significant increase in pain if they take guaifenesin according to the protocol. It is a complex protocol. http://www.psha-inc.com/guai-support/
I think dealing with inflammation can be a huge help for pain if your pain is caused by inflammation. Also, sometimes pain in my arms is caused by trigger points in my shoulders. Do a search here and on the internet for trigger points. I can sometimes get immediate relief when dealing with this aspect.
Pain is a big symptom for me so I know how bad it can get. I hope you get some relief soon.

Good post TerryK.
Inflammation is often a major cause of pain.
I have recently used Waiora Zeolite with great results for muscle soreness. It is 98% gone.

Codeine sulfate is the only thing that helps with nerve pain for me. When i didn't have a pain medication i used to take half an ativan to relax or go to sleep.Cause with that amount of pain i used to get really stressed and the more stressed i was the more pain I had.

Richedie I'm so sorry you are experiencing so much pain!!! I suggest a baby asprin every day - unless you are already on blood thiner meds. Also, when you can get your DR to see you - maybe ask for vicodin. You can take it with Advil 2 hours apart. That way you knock out pain and inflamation. Have you tried ice packs? Ice is good for inflamation. I hope you feel better soon. -p

Thanks everyone,
How long did those using acupuncture, did it take to notice an improvement? I only had two sessions but I am running out of cash! Too many other bills, expenses.
I tried no-gluten but it didn't make a difference. If that were the case, I think I would have had gluten issues before getting Lyme, no??? If not, how does gluten tie in?
I have two Lyme books, Healing Lyme and The Lyme Disease Solution. I could try ice but the pain can be from the should to the hand! The feet come and go.
Thanks!

That or Norco would be advisable to losing an arm!!
Hope you find something that helps. Try Biofreeze. It's much better than other creams, etc. It's a gel.

Thanks, nothing seems to help my feet. However, some of the topical creams can help slightly for the arm, especially the ones with Capsisan(sp).I will try Biofreeze - where to buy?
One day in the drug store, I saw a cream for about $15 called Fybromialsia cream - I should have bought it at the time.
Has anyone thought of trying Low Dose Naltrexone? Dr. S in his book recommends this a lot.

I actually felt better today. Took my daughter out to play in the winter fun and then went with her to the book store, had like no pain! Some is creeping back tonight though. Maybe I went through a 3-4 day herx. Although, my arm never gets 100% pain free like my feet can at times.
I'll look for biofreeze this week and where can you get the infrared device???
