This was also posted in Seeking Doctors, but since it's a question, so it's here as well.
I'm looking for a serious Lymenet vetran member who already is highly involved in handing out names of physicians to patients. In fact, I prefer someone who is dedicated to that.
Whoever is interested, my list is the most comprehensive on the internet, as it's been my only primary focus for the last few years. It initially began with a few names for the Myspace Lyme group, and over the last 4 years has gained hundreds of names. You will understand the extent to which the list is complex and useful when seeing it.
Lymenet should have copies, and updated versions from this point forward every couple months or so.
Please reply to this thread if interested, and leave your e-mail address via PM, this way others will know who is also receiving copies. Leaders of the forum (Moderators ) are welcome to also receive copies.

it would be nice to get it to LDA HQ so it could be available for folks when they can get 3 names per month!

I PM'ed Pat Smith of the LDA. She responded back, and doesn't appear interested. Sorry Betty, I tried.
Here is what I sent and received:
Hello Pat, The people at Lymenet suggested I contact you regarding a Lyme Literate Health Care Provider list I've been building for the last 4 years. I originally contacted you in 2006 from the Myspace Lyme Disease group. Our list has turned into what I can only assume is the most comprehensive and largest list. It is not as organized as I would list, but it is organized by state and by country.
Sincerely, Michael Parent

LDA has a doctor referral online with Lyme literate physicians which is organized to prevent abuse of the doctors if possible and they are happy the way it is done since most object to be listed outright on line. Not sure what you are doing with your list.

It's ok. I think in her position they just have to vette the doctors carefully and keep track of everything and to confirm with the doctors if it's ok to use their names. So, I understand. What she deals with is very serious compared to me as a single patient keeping track. .
I only can keep track of the updates based on patient reports. For example people sometimes message me saying "So and so on the list died, or retired, or changed address etc."
So I update. At any rate, the list isn't perfect as a result of constant grow and change, and keeping up is too difficult. I've tried to put together a team that was responsible for each state, and to have them report back, but it's just too big of a project for me to organize.

mike-
i would be willing to take it on.
i already have a comprehensive list.
i spend less time on LN as i continue to get better, so if it would be your wish i would request that i be contacted via email before providing the info.
either way, when i receive PMs, i am notified via email.
perhaps we should request that Lou place the link with info such as this at the top of each category of flash discussion here at LN.
the link/s could contain my contact info and instruction/s on how to request the desired info.
just my thoughts.
hope you are continuing to heal.
let me know
best
derek
