I am just wondering if it is common for people to get muscle twitching/jerks from a herx.
I have recently started tinidazole 1mg/day (have been on for about 8-10 days and have finally just started to herx - not as bad as I thought.
However, i've just started getting some jumping/jerking in my legs. They don't jerk a lot, but just a slight movement. I can feel it when I'm sitting at my desk relaxed, it just jumps a bit.
I haven't experienced this before and am hoping its just from the herx. I regularly get normal muscle twitches though.
Any thoughts?
Kelly

Hi Kelly,
I have not been on that med. However I also get slight jerking sometimes, usually my hand or arm and oddly enough my butt muscles! Occassionally my leg. This started last Nov when I started detoxing/taking fresh garlic/changing my diet.
I sure hope it is part of a herx and not a sign that I'm getting worse!

I don't know if it's common but I get them.
I get it where both legs jerk out quite a bit and facial twitches get worse when herxing as well.

My leg jerks are only very mild and just a tiny jump. I am also feeling a bit of aching and burning in my calves and backs of my legs.
I imagine the jumping is a herx as I've not experienced it before and have made a lot of progress to date and its only just started with tinidazole. Lets hope so anyway!!
