Basically what he's saying is: Legally I can only act on "law" -- not the scientific dogma -- associated with the IDSA and widespread medical community itself.
He clearly -- in his non-professional life -- desires a result which supports patients who have Chronic Lyme Disease but as an active professional he can not interfere with the "scientific revolution" that all theories pass through.
He's simply trying to "unclog" the drain that's stopped the scientific process from moving at it's standard pace. Remember, when conflicts of scientific theory collide, intense scrutiny and dogma are put forth and embraced by researchers. That's how science moves forward.
Corruption has stopped that process, but stopping corruption still can't stop a scientist or medical community from holding an opinion that opposes the evidence that you or I support.

This was predictable, as an AG cannot produce or dictate guidelines himself. However, patients can and should still protest at the current composition of the panel because they are closely aligned to IDSA and were chosen for that reason. Some have even made public statements about longterm treatment of chronic lyme, so they are clearly biased at the outset.
So, we should still be writing those letters to IDSA, copy to AG. This has got to be on the record.

thanks! my late parents would love the polka dancing rocker!! they were my fred astaire and ginger rogers; they were outstanding polka and waltz dancers and even performed on a trailer for bailing hay!!
