I've been on antibiotics and recently have experienced nausea and vomiting in the evenings. I know it is from my second dose of antibiotics and the doxy seems to be the main culprit. (I'm taking tindamax with it.)
This is odd because I was on the same dose of doxy for months and it didn't cause vomiting. Suddenly, the evening dose makes me very sick. The morning dose doesn't cause any problem.
Is this a herx or could there be a better explanation for this?

My LLMD said to take it in the middle of a meal...eat 1/2 the meal...take meds and eat 1/2 the meal...so it is buried in the food.

My guess would be that vomiting is usually not a herx for most people (statistically, if I were to guess), but I think that maybe sometimes it can be.
When I used to take Mepron, I would have vomiting, and it truly seemed to be a babesia symptom for me as opposed to a reaction to the meds. BUT, that is because I was treating babesia at the time, and vomiting can happen with babesia. It goes along with the whole loss of appetite/nausea thing. So I'm not sure about when you're treating other infections.
Just try to rest and take it easy, that would sometimes help me not vomit. Just not moving around a lot would help.

When did you start the tindimax? I took my first dose last night at 7:30PM and woke up at 4:00 AM - 8 1/2 hours later - very sick to my stomach.
The pharmacist told me that any alcohol at all with tini could make a person feel really sick, even alcohol in tinctures could be a problem.
Since you've taken doxy without a problem for awhile, I'd wonder if tini might be the culprit.
