My LLMD tested my CD56 and not my CD57. My CD56 result was very low at 0.9. (range was 1.9-19)
Does this represent a low functioning immune system? I've attempted to look up information on the web but it seems one needs a degree in immunology in order to understand it! Has anyone else had a low CD56?

CD56? I wonder why you were tested for that instead of CD57? You are definitely out of the range so of course you are curious.

Did your LLMD tell you why? I am so new to all this and would like to know too.

I was tested for CD57 and am awaiting my results.

Leelee,

I don't see my LLMD again until April 18 so I was really hoping someone would be able to shed some light on the CD56 testing and my results.
I'm also curious as to why the CD56 was tested rather than the CD57. Hopefully, someone will be able to answer these questions for me. Thanks for responding!
